Air Force Tuition Assistance Provisions

Tuition Assistance for Service members was established by Public Law and is implemented by a DoD Directive and DoD Instruction. A uniform tuition assistance fiscal policy by the Department of Defense (DoD) is in place across all uniformed services.

A semester hour cap of $250 is in place along with a fiscal year maximum tuition assistance coverage cap of $4500.00 for each Soldier. The Air Force tuition Assistance covers only mandatory fees associated with individual course enrollment and does not cover fees such as graduation and application fees. If you think that you may exceed your allowed cap for expenses there are other options available to you to help cover the additional expenses such as federal grants and scholarships.

Grantham Military Family Scholarship Program
Children and spouses of active duty, guard, reserve personnel and veterans (honorably or medically discharged) may be eligible for the Grantham Military Family Scholarship Program. Eligibility must be determined upon re-enrollment each semester

CSM Baldassari Scholarship Memorial Scholarship
The legal children of New Jersey National Guard Members who are also members of the Enlisted Association may submit applications for consideration. Previous recipients are not eligible for subsequent awards. Also, any drilling guardsperson who is a member of this association may submit an application for the CSM Baldassari Scholarship.

Marine Corps Sgt Jeannette L. Winters Memorial Scholarship
U.S. Marine Corps candidates must be majoring in the following or related fileds of electrical, chemical, systems or aerospace engineering; electronics; mathematics; physics; science or mathematics education; technology management; management information systems; or computer science. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. Intelligence enterprises or national security with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. Minimum GPA requirement is 3.0 on 4.0 scale
