Army Tuition Assistance Provisions

Tuition Assistance for Service members was established by Public Law and is implemented by a DoD Directive and DoD Instruction.  A uniform tuition assistance fiscal policy by the Department of Defense (DoD)  is in place across all uniformed services.

A semester hour cap of $250 is in place along with a fiscal year maximum tuition assistance coverage cap of $4500.00 for each Soldier.  The Army tuition Assistance covers only mandatory fees associated with individual course enrollment and does not cover fees such as graduation and application fees.  If you think that you may exceed your allowed cap for expenses there are other options available to you to help cover the additional expenses such as federal grants and scholarships.
