The Tuition Assistance (TA) program provides financial assistance for voluntary off-duty education programs in support of a Coast Guard member's professional and personal self-development goals. Caps are in place to limit the amount of coverage that Coast Guard tuition assistance provides per credit hour, but most will find that the 100% coverage that the Coast Guard provides will be more than enough to further their education.
All qualified Coast Guard members are authorized to participate in the Coast Guard tuition assistance program. Coast Guard Tuition Assistance benefits are standardized service-wide for Coast Guard active duty, appropriated funded civilian employees, drilling reserve members (SELRES), and Public Health Service members working with the Coast Guard.
