Marine Corps Tuition Assistance is authorized up to 100%of tuition, not to exceed the caps of $250 per semester hour and $4500 per Marine per fiscal year. Within the caps set for Marine Corps Tuition Assistance, fees may be paid along with tuition when the fees are directly required for course enrollment.
The installation Education Services Officer (ESO) has the discretion in limiting the number of courses or the course load taken per term by Marines.
Mandatory course enrollment fees are are authorized to be covered by Marine Corps TA. Mandatory course enrollment fees are those refundable fees charged by the institution that are directly related to the enrollment in a specific course offered by that institution. If a non-refundable fee is included in the Marine Corps Tuition Assistance and the course is canceled with no other courses active at the institution, it is the responsibility of the Marine to reimburse he institution or the Marine Corps for the non-refundable fee.
