Marine Corps Tuition Assistance Provisions

Tuition Assistance for Service members was established by Public Law and is implemented by a DoD Directive and DoD Instruction.  A uniform tuition assistance fiscal policy by the Department of Defense (DoD)  is in place across all uniformed services.

A semester hour cap of $250 is in place along with a fiscal year maximum tuition assistance coverage cap of $4500.00 for each member using Marine Corps Tuition Assistance.  The maximum payable per Semester Hour is $250.00, or Quarter Hour is $166.67.  Tuition Assistance is funded for authorized courses at the time of registration regardless of the length of the course.

If you think that you may exceed your allowed cap for expenses there are other options available to you to help cover the additional expenses such as federal grants and scholarships.
