Eligibility for the Reserve Educational Assistance Program (REAP) will be determined by the Department of Defense (DoD) or Department of Homeland Security (DHS), as appropriate. Generally, a member of a Reserve component who serves on active duty on or after September 11, 2001 under title 10, U.S. Code, for at least 90 consecutive days under a contingency operation, is eligible for REAP. There is no specific time frame to use REAP; however, your eligibility generally ends when you leave the Selected Reserves.
National Guard members are eligible if their active service extends for 90 consecutive days or more and their service is:
authorized under section 502(f), title 32, U.S. Code,
authorized by the President or Secretary of Defense for a national emergency, and
Army to pay tuition assistance direct to schools [Sep 30, 2009] Beginning Oct. 1, active and Reserve Soldiers won't need to put money up front for tuition. Educational institutions listed at www.GoArmyEd.com will receive the tuition money directly from Army Human Resources Command.

2009 tuition assistance deadline is Sept. 15 [Aug 12, 2009] Active-duty Marines are authorized $4,500 in tuition assistance each fiscal year to put toward earning a degree. The new fiscal year begins Oct. 1, which means Marines can receive up to $4,500 for TA.

Grantham Military Family Scholarship Program Children and spouses of active duty, guard, reserve personnel and veterans (honorably or medically discharged) may be eligible for the Grantham Military Family Scholarship Program. Eligibility must be determined upon re-enrollment each semester
CSM Baldassari Scholarship Memorial Scholarship The legal children of New Jersey National Guard Members who are also members of the Enlisted Association may submit applications for consideration. Previous recipients are not eligible for subsequent awards. Also, any drilling guardsperson who is a member of this association may submit an application for the CSM Baldassari Scholarship.
Marine Corps Sgt Jeannette L. Winters Memorial Scholarship U.S. Marine Corps candidates must be majoring in the following or related fileds of electrical, chemical, systems or aerospace engineering; electronics; mathematics; physics; science or mathematics education; technology management; management information systems; or computer science. Majors directly related to the support of U.S. Intelligence enterprises or national security with relevance to the mission of AFCEA will also be eligible. Minimum GPA requirement is 3.0 on 4.0 scale
